. . . . to Beaver County, Utah

The County of Beaver, Utah is brimming with colorful history, diverse geography, spectacular outdoor recreation areas, and friendly, accommodating residents eager to welcome tourists to the area. Beaver County lies in the southwest region of the State. It encompasses an area of 2,590 square miles with a population of approximately 6,100. Some of the most beautiful and varied scenery in the West is found in Beaver County. It is the perfect year-round destination retreat for families, history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts.
Key sites to visit in the western half of the county are the ghost towns of Frisco and Newhouse in the San Francisco Mountains, 15 miles west of the historic railroading and mining town of Milford. Milford is the second most populated town in the county.  A short distance from Milford and Minersville is the Rock Corral Recreation Area, within the Mineral Mountains, a favorite of rockhounders. Six miles east of the town of Minersville is Minersville Lake Park and Campground, renowned for fishing and boating.
Beaver City is in the eastern section of the county, on Interstate 15.  Settled in 1856, Beaver City is the county seat and the birthplace of two very famous individuals of the past, Philo T. Farnsworth (link 1) (link 2), the inventor of television and Butch Cassidy, the notorious western outlaw.  Just to the east of Beaver City are the Tushar Mountains with beautiful vistas, high mountain lakes and clear, sparkling streams. The grandeur of the area will overwhelm you. Almost every outdoor activity imaginable awaits tourists visiting Beaver County.
